Our Services
Design & Engineering Services
It is much easier to design cost out than attempt to cost reduce an existing design. We will work with you to ensure the cost of making your new part is as low as it can be. And if we do not have the resources to execute we will tell you so you can engage with other suppliers. That’s the value of Partnership.
CAD/CAM Programming
At Phoenix Custom Machining we believe that efficient tool paths and machining strategies are just as important as high quality machines and tooling. We employ the latest in computer aided design and manufacturing software to program our machine tools.
By utilizing CAD/CAM software we are able to program parts off line while the machines are running other jobs. This enhances our spindle utilization time, and allows us to develop a machining strategy before we set foot on the shop floor.
Engineering and Design Support services, including SolidWorks, 2D CAD, and reverse engineering.
Rapid Prototyping
Make one or a small quantity of items from a basic sketch or your CAD drawing.
Production capabilities
Low, medium & high volume production of complex machined parts.
Manufacturing
CNC Milling
When customers need precise machining, they look for a manufacturer with capabilities and expertise like Phoenix Custom Machining. Our CNC milling machines provide excellent surface finishes and hold precise tolerances. They have travels up to 40″ x 20″, spindle speeds up to 10,000 rpm and 30+1 Side-Mount Tool Changer . Our mills are also equipped with productivity enhancing options like ethernet, through spindle coolant, 4th axis rotary tables and chip conveyor.
Surface Grinding
Phoenix Custom Machining offers precision surface grinding and tool making services.
Our employees have over 20 years of experience in the tool and die industry. We use Chevalier surface grinders and Suburban grinding fixtures, along with Norton grinding wheels to offer outstanding finishes and precise tolerances required when grinding tools and parts.
Finishing & Deburring
Finishing and deburring is often an overlooked area of manufacturing. At Phoenix Custom Machining we realize that finishing is a very important step in the manufacturing process. While we strive to do as much deburring as possible in the machining and turning centers, in many cases we have to utilize other strategies like vibratory polishing and hand deburring. No matter what finishing strategy we use, we are 100 percent committed to quality and will work with our customers to ensure their complete satisfaction.
